Iraqi-American science PhD student living in occupied Tovaangar. 100x nerdier than I probably look. The way to my heart is through your (and my) overfilled bookshelves. Potential dealbreakers right up front: (1) I'm demisexual, meaning I don't experience any physical attraction whatsoever until I know someone very well. This means all my relationships start as friendships. (2) I want adopted children, and only adopted children. (3) I don't believe in shaving my legs, and never do so. The idea that women should be hairless below the head is an unnatural beauty standard I don't want our generation to pass down to our daughters. I believe building intrinsic motivation is key in education -- rather than competition for grades, scores, career opportunities or status. I'm not religious, but my family's religion is an important part of my context and history.
