Curious, affectionate guy who likes pencil drawing.

I joined here to meet someone from outside my social circle. I have many friends and acquaintances who come from different countries, but very few from the Middle East, so I don't have many opportunities to meet a Middle Eastern woman. I come from Egypt, but I have changed a lot since moving to Chicago back in 2005. Lately I started reconnecting with modern Middle Eastern culture through history, literature, and art. There are very smart, talented women out there, with whom I share at least an upbringing background. I would like to meet someone to share experiences and enjoy life with. I have a liberal mindset, and I don't have any of the traditional prejudices and misconceptions directed towards women. I believe in the empowerment of women and urgent need of re-evaluation of women's position in Middle Eastern society. I am curious about the world works, and I am interested in how people interact. I am also interested in visual art, especially pencil drawing, which I recently started practicing on a fairly regular basis. I am empathetic towards people, and I realize that everyone is fighting their own battle, and could use some understanding from others. I also believe in showing affection and appreciating the special people in my life. I don't have specific requirements in the woman I may get a chance to meet here, as long as she identifies with what I mentioned. Thank you for reading my profile.
