Living in nol cal!

I've been living in California for 2 years, and love it. The scenery is amazing, and living 2 hours from SF is great, so there's always something to do. I love the outdoors, but also enjoy relaxing with a good book and listening to relaxing music. I love having the chance to meet new people with different cultures, and a having an open-minded conversation about life, philosophy, economics, art, or politics can make my day. On the other hand, I'll quickly get bored by the mundane everyday topics like the latest pop-star, TV show, or football game... although.... I can talk about cars all day (guess it's a guy thing).

Interests
Animals
Love dogs, always wanted one. Maybe one day I'll actually get one!
Barbecues
Love 'em. But then again, when's the last time you've seen someone who doesn't?
Board Games
I love how board games bring people together. To me, it's more about the interaction than actually playing.
Camping
Always looking for a chance to go camping. North Cal is the best when it comes to isolated nature.
Card Games
Estimation, anyone? Apparently only Egyptians know about this game..
Cars
Favorite topic. I can talk about cars all day and think about which car I'll get next as often as I'd consider normal.
Children
Kids stress me out. The only consolation is that everyone tells me that, when they're YOUR kids, you won't mind :)
Exercise
Sometimes it's a chore, others it's a stress reliever. My life doesn't revolve around it though.
Food
Ah... A good home-cooked meal with family and friends. Can anything beat that?
Math
Always been my favorite subject. The mathematical world is beautifully simple - there's always just one answer.
Opera
Would go more often, if it wasn't so expensive.. sigh...
Philosophy
I find myself thinking philosophically a lot. Is that weird??
Politics
I'm Egyptian. It's what we do :)
Religion
Hm.. touchy subject. Talk about it later.
Sky Diving
Done it once. Loved it. Been planning to go back ever since.
Video Games
Spend more time on it than I should.

Insights
Describe the perfect evening.
An evening spent in an Egyptian cafe with my life-long friends. The conversation can go on for hours, or it can be completely silent. Either way, it doesn't matter when you're in such great company.
Describe your perfect weekend.
Lazing by the beach, reading a great book and listening to good music. BBQs before sunset, and sitting by the beach fire-pits till dawn.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Sure do.
How many kids would you like to have?
No idea. Cross that bridge when I need to.
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
Somewhat important. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Never, ever, EVER, judge other people.
What gets on your nerves?
Surprisingly little. It's really tough to get on my nerves.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Respect and honesty.
